July 9, 2021: Freehold Home Sales are generally rising, but not as aggressively as the beginning of the year. Low mortgage rates, combined with a number of homes still on the market, contribute to a bustling market.

There are still properties that are selling with multiple officers/ bidding wars, as all markets in the GTA are selling over 100% of asking price. Durham, Brantford and Waterloo have shown the greatest difference between list and sold prices, with percentages ranging from 113% to 116.

Durham and Niagara are the two regions where the average sold price rose in June (vs. May of this year). These numbers alude to the growing population that are leaving the core Toronto area in search of more affordable housing within its 1-2 hour radius.
